Journey to Recovery Image

My Third Finding…

Even though I ended off with this comment in the second finding, you might think that I would address my eating habits next, but I didn’t.

Check out what I tried next by adding it into my life in my third finding as I have always believed weight gain or loss is about 60% food intake, 20% exercise and now about 20% hormones.

I decided to start adding exercise into my life. Since my hernia surgery, I had been a little reluctant to start exercising on a regular basis. It was time to get going on that… but with Covid, the gyms were closed in our area, I didn’t have a lot of work out equipment at home.

So, I started researching this to find my best option with so many online options popping up. I also needed one that took things slow as my body was out of shape from the surgery and 6 months of recovery.

I found one – I took the quiz.

She understood and took the hormone factor into account, she also took mindset into account.

It was very reasonably priced and I started working out to the best of my ability. I couldn’t jump right into it, but I gave it my all.

It was a 90-day workout series. I did it for 120 days straight and because I took it slow, I did the last series over again and worked out harder.

I noticed I was getting more muscle but I wasn’t totally seeing the results I wanted to. I definitely had more muscle, but I wasn’t losing much weight nor getting much definition. I knew now that my journey was going to take longer than ever before but I was not about to give up.

I have continued this workout regimen and do it 2 – 3 days per week to keep working on it.

The workout I am talking about is:

It is definitely worth checking out.

I also stumbled across a really fun and enjoyable workout – I tried to do a couple of these a day to get up and get moving around, feel happy and energetic and just enjoy.

Being at a desk all day long, it is important to get up and get moving around – clear your mind.

I hope you look into these and see if they are a fit for you…

Now back to the end of the previous finding and the beginning of this one…

… I have always believed weight gain or loss is about 60% food intake, 20% exercise and now about 20% hormones.

So to recap, I was dealing with my Candida overgrowth, my hormones, added regular exercise into my life, now it was time to look at my eating habits because I was now starting to gain the weight back that I had lost…

Really – what the hell was going on…
