Journey to Recovery Image

My Fifth Finding…

In my weight loss and healthier lifestyle journey, I have discovered a lot of information and have shared things along the way friends and family and now with you.

As you have previously read, I was stuck again…

Things were working on some level. I believed I was healthier than I had ever been before, but I didn’t look it. I was feeling better, had more energy and I was able to do things I hadn’t done before – like 300 sit-ups at a time but I had belly fat. I had never done 300 sit-ups before in my life in a week’s time and I was doing that regularly (3 times a week) as I added that to my fitness regimen and my muffin top was still hanging around and my thighs hadn’t lost a centimeter…

Where did I have left to turn to???

What was different in the past two years that had never been a factor before?

My surgery and the time that I was resting due to the pain I was experiencing prior to surgery as I was off work for a duration, then my surgery and recovery time which I was lying around and Covid hit during that time, so I was definitely lazier than I had been in my previous years.

I did more research and pinpointed it to my metabolism. It just wasn’t working the way that it should. It wasn’t serving me anymore.

What could I do to change that…

I found a new workout to do that was 15 minutes 3 days a week and it was extremely affordable, full of information and had meal plans as well for a really low price. I could do it online, download the videos and information and they would also send me DVD’s and books.

I jumped at the opportunity for the well rounded information, workout and meal plan.

I am 4 weeks into it at this point and it is definitely a harder workout than I had previously been doing but had I not have done Pink Dragon; I would not have been able to do these to the level that I can now.

I took their quiz at the beginning, am learning to incorporate some of their meal plans into my life, am doing the workouts 3 times a week and I continue to do Pink Dragon workouts twice a week and am doing their transformation tracker.

I may not have lost the weight yet but things are definitely changing on the tracker – I am definitely noticing differences.

  • I have even more energy
  • Sleep better
  • Skin is better
  • Feel better
  • More alert
  • More concentration
  • I have also turned into a morning person.  I have been a night hawk all my life and struggled with getting up in the morning, hitting snooze numerous times before getting up.  My mother could tell you many stories about trying to get me out of bed and going in the morning.  Now for the first time in my life, I am waking up before my alarm, by over half an hour and I feel rested and raring to go for the day!  This alone has been a wonderful blessing to my daily life.

And that’s just in 4 weeks.

I will keep you posted on the progress as I continue on this path.

Then, I stumbled onto something new, a possible other root cause of what is going on in my system which actually might account for the hormonal imbalance and the low metabolism along with other issues. Hmmmm
