Journey to Recovery Image

My Sixth Finding…

Here is my latest finding and I hope you find this interesting and useful! I just found this out in the past week and decided to add it. I don’t have much time doing this and will let you know later how this is going but this information is too important not to share.

It could definitely be a root cause to many people’s struggles in many different areas. There is a lot more information out there than what I am going to include and you should definitely take some time to research it on your own to find possible answers for you.

My weight gain, low metabolism, hormone issues, and digestive issues stem from my liver. My liver is struggling for whatever reason, even though I have done cleanses and detoxes in the past as I believe they are an important part of life. We make sure we change our oil and oil filter in our car regularly to keep it running good, what do we do for ourselves of this nature? See my post on Nov. 1/21 where I go further in depth on this point.

Below are the three articles that really got me thinking…

I have decided not to do a liver detox or cleanse with pills this time.  I have done that in the past and although successful, I found it a short term fix that didn't last.

I feel that these pills are like shocking the well / pool - it might actually be harmful at the same time that it is helpful for me at this time and that instead I need more of a change that is going to be a more long term solution.

I have implemented instead taking a liquid Milk Thistle, Lecithin and Omega 3-6-9 with flax oil that will be daily liver support and adding coconut oil to my smoothie to assist the liver in fat burning and increased metabolism.  Doing these daily I believe will be more beneficial than a quick detox.  I have also added the castor oil packs to assist my liver.  The results might not be as fast but they will be longer lasting and I believe in the long run, more beneficial.

I then did the liquid diet - the 3-day detox recipes from the second article to give my liver a rest and allow it some down time.  I think this is a gentler way of detoxing and kick starting my way to a healthier liver for the long term.

After doing the 3-day detox, I weighed myself before and after and I lost 4.5 pounds. So, I guess my plateau is over and I am on to something

None of these solutions are expensive and they are easy to add to daily life and I believe for me provide the best liver support for my life.

I hope you have found this journey interesting thus far and that you have learned something that you may not have known before.  This information has been a benefit to me and a few others that I know and hopefully you as well.

If you have any information you would like to share with me on things that you have done, implemented or learned along the way, I would love to hear it and share it as well.
